20-year-old Sophie Sheridan lives with her mother Donna on the small Greek island Kalokairi where Donna runs a hotel called Villa Donna. Sophie is planning to marry her fiance Sky and wants her father to be present to "give her away," but does not know who he is. After reading Donna's diary from 20 years ago, she concludes he is one of three men: Sam Carmichael, Harry Bright, or Bill Anderson. She thinks she can recognize who is her father right away when she see them. Without telling her mother and fiancé, Sophie mails invitations to all three, and hopes to find out which is her father. Sophie tells her two best friends, Ali and Lisa about her potential fathers. Other guests have also arrived from the harbor:Donna's longtime friends, single,fun-loving writer Rosie and rich three-time divorcée Tanya.
After confessing to Sky that she has invited all three potential fathers, Sky says that he is unsure of what he wants to do about the wedding. Sophie rushes up to Donna and asks her if she will help her prepare for the wedding and she agrees; whilst preparing, they both reminisce about the times before being engaged. Donna, still unaware of Sam's true feelings, and rushing to the hilltop wedding, tells Sam to stop talking to her. Then Donna runs to the hilltop. Sam is stunned.During the wedding ceremony, Donna finally mentions the "father" issue, and the secrets begin unraveling: all three potential fathers publicly claim be Sophie's father and agree to happily take a 'third' each. Sophie and Sky decide to postpone the wedding,as Sky wanted all along, and to take a trip around the world together. Sam proposes to Donna so the wedding party is not wasted. Donna agrees to marry Sam.
Donna concludes it was Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love, influencing events all along. The closing scene of the film shows Sophie and Sky sailing to the horizon to begin their life together, leaving Sam and Donna to live happily ever after on the island.
After the closing scene, Donna and the Dynamos perform "Dancing Queen" over the credits. Next, the entire cast sings Waterloo. Finally, Sophie sings Thank You for the Music as the ending credits roll.

After seeing this movie:
The whole movie is bustling, and ABBA's music plays from time to time. If you are a fan of ABBA's, I believe that you must will love this move. Though I'm not their fan, thosee familiar songs combines with the happy scenes in the movie, I feel joyous, too, during the movie. The plot of the whole play is quite simple and there's no need to think much about the plot, so it makes me feel relax. To sum up, this is a good movie. :D

Moulin Rouge
Director:Baz LuhrmannGenre:Drama,Musical,Romance
Cast:Nicole Kidman(Satine),Ewan McGregor(Christian),John Leguizamo(Toulouse Lautrec),Jim Broadbent(Harold Zidler),Richard Roxburgh(The Duke).

Summary:In 1899,a young writer Christian went to Paris alone to defy the hypocritical world of middle class and he met a group of Bohemians who tell him that he should write a musical show for them to be performed at the Moulin Rouge, the most famous underworld night club in Paris. Therefore, he came into the Moulin Rouge and met the highest paid star and famous courtesan and Christian fell in love with Satine. However, a wealthy duke who is also the sponsor of the Moulin Rouge wanted Satine to be his. It is a disaster and the duke found out that there were something unusual between Satine and Christian. In the meantime, Satine knew that she has an illness and she is going to die. In the end, Christian and Satine eventually fulfill their play but Satine is dead at the last scene. Before Satine died, she told Christian to write down their story so that they could be together forever!

After seeing the movie:In my opinion, it is a forbidden at first because the class between Christian and Satine is totally different. One comes from the middle class and one always stays in the obscene environment. Christian shouldn't fall in love with Satine at first. However, destiny is hard to control. It is a tragic and I am touched so deeply. The love between Satine and Christian impresses me a lot and the heatbroken feeling that they can not be together with their beloved ones and the lost of lover makes me even cry!
It's music is also fantastic, and it suits its plot perfectly. The one impresses me most is that"Diamonds are a girl's best friend",and it is really fun and depict the mind of those women in moulin rouge that they want only money!
About Moulin Rouge:Moulin Rouge (French for Red Windmill) is a cabaret built in 1889 by Josep Oller, who also owned the Paris Olympia. Close to Montmartre in the Paris red-light district of Pigalle on Boulevard de Clichy in the 18th arrondissement, it is marked by the facsimile of a red windmill on its roof.
The Moulin Rouge is best known as the spiritual birthplace of the modern form of the can-can dance. Originally introduced as a seductive dance by the courtesans who operated from the site, the can-can dance review evolved into a form of entertainment of its own and led to the introduction of cabarets across Europe. Today the Moulin Rouge is a tourist destination, offering musical dance entertainment for adult visitors from around the world. Much of the romance of turn-of-the-century France is still present in the club's decor.

Sweeney Todd
Sweeney ToddIt's a movie adopted from the musical "Sweenet Todd". However, the leading actor is never as handsome as the one in the movie.
At his old Fleet Street lodgings above Mrs. Nellie Lovett's pie shop, he discovers that Lucy, having been raped by Turpin, has poisoned herself, and his teenage daughter Joanana is now Turpin's house, and like her mother before her, is the object of his unwanted affections. Todd vows revenge, reopening his barber shop in the upstairs flat.
And this is the leading actor Johnny Depp who is my favorite actor in the Hollywood. This film is his first time to sing all by himself in the movie but I think he did a great job.Hairspray

After watching this movie:This is really a meanigful comedy. The main character pursues what she wants no matter how impossible it is! She always has a cheerful mind and optimistic attitude to face the challenges. And this kind of spirit somehow inspired me.Besides, there is an issue about racialism which shows that in the 1960s people in Baltimore still don't accept black people. But Tracy ,the overwight girl ,doesn't take that as a big deal. She just shows that every one is the same. It is very mature of her to think this way while adults still descriminate negros.
